1. When is the Kinwest Medical Clinic open?

Wednesdays only.

2:30 PM - 3:30 PM     Registration
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM     Visit with a nurse
6:00 PM                     Providers arrive to begin seeing patients

2. Can I make an appointment to come to the Clinic?

No. The Clinic is only for walk-in patients. Registration is from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Wednesdays. Only patients who register during those hours will be treated when the doors open at 4:00 PM.

3. I understand the Clinic treats children ages 0-17 without health insurance, can I bring my child?

CALL FIRST. Our number is (972) 443-3328. After you provide adequate information why your child needs to come to our clinic, we will then have one of our volunteers visit with you about a future appointment. Children ages 0-17 will be seen by appointment only.**

**A parent or legal guardian must stay with the child the entire visit at the Clinic.

4. What are the requirements for coming to the Clinic?

1) Current, valid photo ID

2) Transportation to/from the clinic

3) A working telephone in order to contact you after your visit if necessary

5. Can I come to the Clinic if I have/had a high fever (100.1 degrees or higher) in the last 24hrs?

No.

6. Does the Clinic test for the influenza virus ("the flu")?

No.

7. I understand you do school physicals is there a cost for the physical?

No. But since a school physical is not an illness or a medical condition, we ask that a $15.00 donation be made to the Clinic upon arrival to help defray our costs of administrative supplies, diagnostic supplies, and equipment repair. One of our volunteers will visit with you about this.

8. If I have had a fall, am bleeding from an injury, sports injury, nausea or severe headaches, severe stomach pain, temperature over 100 degrees, unable to walk, talk or communicate, I understand I cannot come to the Clinic, but what should I do?

If you are experiencing any of the above or ANY OTHER severe conditions, DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC. If you feel you are in immediate distress or danger CALL 911 immediately.

9. Does the Clinic accept health insurance of any type?

No.

And no, you can NOT come to the Clinic anyway.

10. If I'm working full-time, can I pay to come to the Clinic?

No. It is an understanding on our part you CAN pay cash to see a provider in the regular marketplace. That's how our great health care marketplace system works.

11. Does the Clinic provide prescriptions if I need them?

No. If a patient registers and sees a provider to which the provider determines a prescription is needed, one will be written for you. It is the patient's responsibility to go to a pharmacy of their choice and have the prescription filled.

12. I recently visited a hospital Emergency Room, can I come to the Clinic for a follow-up?

Possibly. The best move for you is to CALL US at (972) 443-3328 to get the details of your ER or other doctor visit.

13. Does the Clinic accept donations?

Yes. At this time donations are accepted to help us replace our administrative and diagnostic supplies as well as for our equipment repair. We receive no compensation for our extensive medical services.
